Aims and Objectives

Our aims and objectives are geared towards

  • Providing a platform for Igbo cultural revival especially for our Igbo communities in the UK so that the children from Igbo decent do not loose their cultural heritage.
  • Supporting group members.
  • To provide a platform for women and youth Empowerment through “skill acquisition programmes and Seminars”
  • To support the less privileged in the society, such as; Teenage mothers, the homeless, the Elderly people and People Living with disability etc.”
  • To promote a strong Community Spirit, through love feast and community get-together events.
  • Engaging in Community Outreach such as, donating to Food banks and supporting some certified Charity Organisations.

What we do

  • We promote our Igbo Cultural Heritage in the UK, through Community get-together events, celebrating Igbo Traditional Food, dance, delivering Igbo language lessons to our children.
  • We support the less privileged in the Society such as; the Homeless, the Elderly people, Teenage mothers, People Living with Disabilities etc.
  • We support Food banks with food donations.
  • We donate tins and some raw food to some Children Centres to support especially children on free meals.
  • We engage in Community events such as, love feasts where we bring in donations of clothing, shoes and raw food.
  • At Winter we donate duvet, cloths, shoes etc to the homeless.

Our Vision

In Udokanma Our Vision is to have a strong Family Unit of the Igbo decent in the UK that promotes good Community Spirit and Oneness.
